Goldmine

  I love pecans! They are so yummy but they are so expensive. So we went to my grandfather's house out in the country and spent the day picking pecans. They have this tool that keeps you from having to bend over every time you find a pecan. The kids loved it!

We walked up and down this very serene pathway searching for our treasure among the leaves and grass. 

We moved over to the cotton field to find a ton of pecans waiting to be found! 

For those of you that have never seen how cotton grows, here you go:

And finally, after scouring the fields for our treasure we ended up with a bucket full. GOLD!!!! Yummo!

In my next post I will show you what we make with these pecans! Maybe a pie or maybe a bread! What will it be? Either way it will be yummy!
